Parental Feedback

It is really important to us that we get a good understanding of what our parents think and gather any suggestions that will help us to improve our offer to our community.

To this end we regularly solicit feedback in the form of Parent Questionnaires.

One was an overview of the School, the other was asking parents about the Distinctive Christian Character of a Church School. We have prepared the headlines below and also the full results of each report should you wish to delve into the detail. Parents can also visit Parent View to tell OFSTED what they think of the school. Click on the icon below to visit the Parent View page about Christ Church.

- It educates children based on Christian values

- I like to see that the Christian values we uphold at home are reinforced at school

- Family feel, excellent pastoral care, lovely children

- There is a wonderful feel of a close community with good values and where everyone is valued

- Children develop a Christian ethos which is evident in the behaviour towards each other in the school

- A small community school with a strong balance between religious ethos and academic performance

- The school’s emphasis on strong values and recognising good/kind behaviour

- The school is teaching our children about Jesus and how to be Christ-like

- The children have a strong sense of morals and values, regardless of faith

- My children are able to spend time thinking about God and Jesus

What I would like to see improved about our school as a Church School:

- I would like to attend more worships if I was given more notice

- Communication regarding collective worship content

- An Easter themed collective worship would be nice

- Nothing!

- I would like to see a wider repertoire of hymns at assembly

- It would be great to offer after-school provision for working parents

- Greater links with the Parochial Church Council (PCC)

- I cannot think of any. My child is happy and settled

- I would like to see more children acknowledged at assembly for living out the value words

- There should be more communication between the church and the school

- Improved newsletters from teachers that give an update on the teachings of the school

Suggested Actions Moving Forward

- Improve information to parents on the religious education taught at school – new syllabus

- Open up/promote invites to collective worship to parents – letters and website
