The term pupil voice refers to ways of listening to the views of children and / or involving them in decision-making. The aim is to engage pupils as active participants in their education and make a positive contribution to their school and local community.
Children at Christ Church are encouraged to work together to decide on their class rules, and also take part in the democratic process of voting for their peers for roles on the School Council, Eco Warrior Team, or the Worship Team. These develop skills such as co-operation and communication and encourage them to take responsibility.
The Worship Team
A boy and girl in each year group is voted in for a period of 12 months. They play an active role in leading regular worship and contributing to services working closely with Mtr Ariadne to help shape the content of worship carried out in our School.
The School Council
Being a member of the School Council is an extremely important role within the School whereby the pupils are elected to represent the views of all pupils and improve their School. The Council meets regularly and report back to the Senior Management team on suggestions for development.
