Pilgrim Visitors last week
Many thanks to those who helped Sam, Alan and AJ feel so welcome, last week. Special thanks to Janet for cooking jollof rice and plantain (and fish and chicken) for them!
There will be a plant / cuttings / seedlings sale TODAY (!!), immediately after the service. There will also be a cake stall. The sale will be our way of marking the coronation of the new king, who is very keen on agriculture and gardening. Come (or stay) and buy some of what will be on offer. Thank you!
APCM / Parishioners Meeting
Our annual meetings (Parishioners Meeting and Annual Parochial Church Meeting) will take place on 21st May. Immediately after the 10am Eucharist, there will be brunch in the church hall. This will be a chance for people to mingle and get to know each other. The brunch will be followed by the meetings. All those who are on the church’s electoral roll are entitled to vote at the meetings (and those who live in the parish in the Parishioners Meeting)
New Church Warden(s), PCC members & Deanery Synod Reps
At the Parishioners Meeting and APCM we will be electing new church wardens; PCC members and Deanery Synod Representatives. Church wardens are only elected for one year. There are 2 vacancies, each year. PCC members are normally elected for 3 years. There are 3 vacancies like that. There is also a vacancy for 1 year and one for 2 years. Deanery Synod Representatives are elected for 3 years. There are 2 vacancies. Do have a word with me or Sue Peach if interested in any of these roles. Nomination forms are available from near the church door.
A big thank you to all who came to help with Working Party on 29th April. Lots of work was done. Thank you! If you like gardening or DIY and would like to help once a month on a Saturday morning, do let Lesley Archard or Sue Peach know.
International Food Festival
Our annual International Food Festival will be on Sunday 16th July, immediately after the service. This is a chance for parishioners to show off their culinary skills and introduce people to food from their home countries. Do let Daniela Weber or Mtr Ariadne know if you would like a stall at the festival.
